Tatyana Aksyutina

In 2024, it is planned to allocate 200 million rubles for a program to improve outdoor lighting systems in populated areas of Bashkiria, as reported at an operational meeting of the government.

The implementation of this program was resumed in 2023 on the initiative of the Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov.

As Radiy Khabirov emphasized, work on lighting populated areas must be continued.

In 2023, 300 million rubles were allocated to implement a program to improve outdoor lighting systems in populated areas.

Budget funds were distributed among municipalities based on the approved methodology based on population size. Of these, the largest amount of subsidies, 63 million rubles, was sent to Ufa's budget.

“In pursuance of the instructions of the Head of the Republic, projects for lighting approaches to social facilities were first implemented - these are schools, kindergartens, hospitals,” explained the Minister of Housing and Communal Services of Bashkiria Irina Golovanova.

Over the past year, the number of installed lamps was 8,140, with a planned figure of 4 thousand lamps. Thanks to this program, 2,863 supports were installed. 215 kilometers of roads and 1,029 approaches to social facilities are illuminated.

In addition, municipalities additionally use the mechanism of lighting modernization within the framework of energy service contracts to improve the lighting of populated areas. In 20 towns, 86 thousand lamps were replaced from 2018 to 2023. This year another 15 thousand lamps will have to be replaced.

Meanwhile, an additional 5,245 lamps and 349 supports were installed at the expense of municipal budgets.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, electric lighting is now being installed in Bashkiria on a section of the M-7 highway under construction. Installation work is underway on a 65-kilometer section, bypassing the villages of Isametovo, Verkhneyarkeyevo, Layashty, Ishkarovo, and Asyanovo.
