Vladimir Putin signed a decree establishing the honorary title “Honored Worker of Russian Federation Local Government.” The corresponding decree was published on the official information portal.

The document approves the position on the honorary title. The honorary title “Honored Worker of Russian Federation Local Government” is awarded to highly professional officials of local self-government for personal merit: in addressing issues of direct support for the livelihoods of the population of municipalities; in the implementation of certain state powers transferred for implementation to local governments by federal laws and laws of constituent entities of the Russian Federation; in the development of local government in the Russian Federation; in achieving other significant results of professional activity.

The title will be awarded no earlier than 20 years from the beginning of professional activities in municipal self-government and the presence of industry awards (incentives) from federal government bodies or government bodies of constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

The decree comes into force from the date of signing.
