Radiy Khabirov and his wife visited the Holy Trinity Cathedral on Orthodox Christmas. It was built relatively quickly, in three years - in 1838, it was already ready. The majestic, huge at that time, towered over the Cathedral Square, now called Oktyabrskaya.
The pride of Birsk residents was the 333-pound main bell cast for the cathedral in 1863. Sacred objects, valuable books, and icons were transferred from the Archangel Michael Church to the new cathedral. Among them, a precious icon of the Savior Not Made by Hands, donated by General Yazykov, was transferred; the latter received it from the hands of Catherine II.
During the Soviet period, the bell tower and part of the cathedral were destroyed; the bell was dropped, loaded onto a barge, and sent up the river. His trace is lost. Closer to the 50s, the building housed the Aurora cinema. It must be said that it did not work for very long, after which the city's first historical museum existed until the end of the 80s. In the 90s, the Holy Trinity Cathedral was officially returned to the Ufa diocese, and restoration began only in 2001.
Radiy Khabirov congratulated the parishioners on Christmas and wished them happiness and health.
