Maternity capital issuing conditions will change in Russia in 2024
President Vladimir Putin signed a law on the payment of maternity capital only to Russian citizens at the time of the birth of a child and only if the child has citizenship by birth.
At the same time, residents of new regions of the Russian Federation have the right to maternity capital, regardless of the basis and timing of their acquisition of Russian citizenship.
It is reported that the amendments will come into force on January 1, 2024.
Earlier, State Duma deputies approved changes to the law “On additional measures of state support for families with children.”
Let us remind you that in 2024, the maternity capital for the second child will increase to 833.9 thousand rubles.
