Republic’s Public Chamber monitors election process
Since 2018, the Public Chamber of the Republic has been providing public observation of the election process and forming a corps of public observers.
Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of the Seventh Convocation, Lida Isargakova, at a meeting of members of the OP with the Head of the Republic, said that on February 25, 2021, a Public Headquarters for monitoring elections was formed.
During the period of work of the sixth composition of the chamber, the Public Headquarters trained more than 20 thousand public observers for all election commissions of the republic. For the Russian presidential elections, which will be held on March 17, 2024, about 10 thousand public observers must be trained.
“The work of public observers allows us to increase citizens’ confidence in elections. Our interaction with the republic's population regarding their participation in election campaigns shows the maturity of our society,” noted Lida Isargakova.
