The Parliament of Bashkortostan will join the discussion of the problem of over-the-counter antibiotics. According to the instructions of the Chairman of the State Assembly, Konstantin Tolkachev, a round table will be organized on this issue, reports the press service of the republican parliament.
According to parliamentarians, the current sales procedure does not provide adequate control over the circulation of antibiotics. Even though they must be dispensed with a prescription, there are no quantitative records of such drugs, and pharmacists often look the other way and sell drugs without a prescription. At the same time, the problem of bacterial resistance to antibiotics is one of the most severe threats to human health. Strict controls over the retail sale of these drugs may play a role in its decision.
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that the State Assembly of Bashkiria deputies proposed tightening responsibility for too-dark tinting.
