Economically active population was counted in Bashkiria
According to a sample survey in Bashkiria, the labor force aged 15 years and older in July–September 2023 was about 1.924 million people.
More than 1.881 million people, or 97.8%, were classified as engaged in economic activities. Over 42 thousand people (2.2%) were classified as unemployed, meeting the criteria of the International Labor Organization (i.e., they did not have a job or gainful occupation, were looking for work, and were ready to start work in the survey week). Bashkir Statistical Agency provides this data.
In Russia as a whole, the labor force, according to the latest data, reaches 76.379 million people in the Volga Federal District - about 14.760 million people.
As Bashinform News Agency reported, the average monthly nominal accrued salary in Bashkiria in September 2023 was 56,130 rubles. In general, over the nine months of this year, it exceeded 54,712 rubles, according to the results of the third quarter - 57,144 rubles, the republic’s statisticians reported.
