The acute respiratory infection incidence significantly exceeds the national average in several cities and regions of Bashkiria. The territories with higher incidence rates are Belebeevsky, Kuyurgazinsky, Iglinsky, Krasnokamsky districts, and Kumertau.
According to the regional Rospotrebnadzor, in the 47th week, 24.7 thousand cases of ARI were registered in the republic, of which 42.2% were children. It is predicted that the peak of incidence is possible in late December to early February.
“As part of laboratory monitoring, the Center for Hygiene and Epidemiology has established that viruses of non-influenza etiology are circulating in the republic: COVID-19, rhinovirus, adenovirus. According to many years of observations, the situation is expected and predictable,” the sanitary department notes.
