In Ufa, a discussion occurred on the upcoming 450th anniversary of the republic's capital in 2024. The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, held the meeting on preparation issues.
One of the largest anniversary objects is the Wrestling Palace in the Oktyabrsky district of Ufa. Its construction is progressing according to the approved schedule. The builders have also begun landscaping the adjacent territory, where recreational areas, transport passages, and parking lots are provided.
By the end of 2023, the updated Bashkir State Puppet Theater will receive its first spectators, the Bashinform News Agency reported. After reconstruction, it will have a second auditorium. Miniature copies of the largest architectural objects in Russia will be installed in the park next to the theater.
Large sports centers will appear in the northern and eastern parts of the capital, which will become venues for holding competitions at the federal and international levels.
Radiy Khabirov recalled meeting with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the country's Rowing Slalom Federation, at the beginning of the week. The head of the republic invited the head of the foreign policy department to the opening of a new complex in Ufa.
The meeting participants also discussed the reconstruction of transport facilities in Ufa, particularly the arched bridge across the Belaya River at the southern exit from the city and Pugacheva Street in Kuznetsovsky Zaton.
In addition, the construction of the Eastern exit from the city, the largest infrastructure project in the region, is being completed in Ufa.
