Russian President Vladimir Putin said that to develop the Russian transport industry, it is necessary to use advanced domestic technologies and introduce strict environmental standards and public-private partnership mechanisms. Vladimir Putin’s address to the participants of the International Forum and Exhibition “Transport of Russia” in Moscow was read by Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Igor Levitin.
“Of course, it is necessary to use advanced domestic technologies widely, introduce strict environmental standards, effective public-private partnership mechanisms, and improve the personnel training system and industry education,” Vladimir Putin emphasized in his address.
The head of state said that the transport complex plays a system-forming role, serves the development of the economy and social sphere, and ensures the implementation of popular projects in the country's regions. He expressed confidence that a reliable basis has been created for solving the problems of modernizing infrastructure, creating promising directions for passenger transportation and international freight logistics corridors, updating public and other types of transport, and integrating our historical regions of Donbas and Novorossiya into a single transport framework of the country.
Millions of workers in the transport industry, specialists in various professions, “know their job well and work with full dedication,” Vladimir Putin noted on the eve of Transport Worker Day, celebrated in Russia on November 20. The delegation of Bashkortostan also takes part in the forum's plenary session.
Bashinform News Agency reported that on November 15 in Moscow, within the framework of the XVII International Forum “Transport of Russia”, Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Marat Khusnullin visited the exhibition stand of Bashkortostan. The head of the republic, Radiy Khabirov, told the vice-premier about the region's key infrastructure projects and the timing of their implementation.
