In Ufa, there is an increase in the incidence of COVID-19. The head of the Department of Epidemiological Surveillance and Sanitary Protection of the territory of the regional Rospotrebnadzor, Elena Shakirova, announced this at an operational meeting at the mayor’s office.
According to her, over the past week, 463 cases of COVID-19 were registered in the city, which is 40.3% higher than the previous week.
“This indicates an intensification of the epidemiological process, and therefore, a further increase in incidence is predicted with the onset of the cold period of the year,” noted a specialist from the sanitary department.
Elena Shakirova also noted that over the past week, 141 cases of pneumonia were registered in Ufa. This is lower than the previous week's figures. At the same time, there is a high percentage of hospitalizations, 84% of the total cases.
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that in Bashkiria, COVID-19 was confirmed in 131 people per day.
