Russian government has established bonuses for “Professionals” championship winners

This year, the winners and runners-up of the finals of the Professional Championship and the High Technology Championship will receive cash bonuses. Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin signed the corresponding decree.

“The prize for the contestants who take first place in these competitions will be 300 thousand rubles. Those awarded second place will receive 200 thousand rubles. The third place receives 100 thousand rubles. Bonuses are not subject to personal income tax,” the Russian government clarifies.

The final of the “Professionals” championship will take place in St. Petersburg in November. It involves schoolchildren aged 14 years and older, college students, and young specialists from enterprises in various fields of industry.

The final of the high-tech championship took place in Veliky Novgorod on September 18–21, 2023. It was attended by schoolchildren, college students, and young professionals from more than 30 regions of the country, including Azerbaijan, Belarus, Ghana, and India.

The signed resolution is necessary to implement the presidential decree “On the national development goals of the Russian Federation until 2030.” One of these goals is to create opportunities for self-realization and talent development.
