The main decisions of the II All-Russian Forum “Breaking Barriers”, held in Ufa from October 19 to 21, were named. As Lenara Ivanova, Minister of Family, Labor and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic, noted at an operational government meeting, the second forum brought together more than 5,500 participants and this year reached the international level. Guests from Belarus, the United Arab Emirates, and the USA participated in the forum events.
“Many important topics and issues were discussed during the forum. One of the key topics was forming a system of comprehensive rehabilitation of people with disabilities over 18 years of age, including participants in a special military operation. Its comprehensive discussion occurred within the framework of the meeting “Rehabilitation of people with disabilities. New solutions,” moderated by the chairman of the All-Russian Society of Disabled People, State Duma deputy Mikhail Terentyev. The speakers were also the General Director of the Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects, Svetlana Chupsheva, Chief of Staff of the Head of Bashkortostan Maxim Zabelin, and others,” said the head of the regional Ministry of Labor.
Among the important decisions of the “Breaking Barriers” forum, Lenara Ivanova named the introduction from 2024 of certificates for the rehabilitation of disabled people of working age and, above all, participants of the SVO, the creation of a Social Taxi Service in Ufa from 2024. As well as the opening in September 2024 of the rehabilitation and educational center “Salut” and 2025 of the rehabilitation center in the Ishimbay district on the terms of a public-private partnership.
The minister added that the exhibition part of the forum presented the latest developments in the technical means of rehabilitation, simulation, and rehabilitation equipment from more than 50 manufacturers from Kaliningrad to Vladivostok. Thus, the author and developer of a unique simulator for rehabilitation, Juhan Gross, conducted a master class, “Development of the musculoskeletal system on the Gross simulator.” Founder of the magazine “I-CAN!” Andrey Kokarev held an educational meeting with public relations specialists.
The guests were very interested in master classes on training guide dogs from the club of guide dog owners in Moscow and the Moscow region, “Wise Dog,” and a master class in Russian sign language from the Regional Society of the Deaf. Another exciting forum event was a football match among blind football players organized by the Federation of Blind Football Players.
An online connection was organized for each site so dozens more specialists from different parts of the country and the republic could participate remotely in all conferences and round tables.
