Bashkortostan's experience in bison breeding was highly appreciated by Russian Ministry of Natural Resources

The Russian Ministry of Natural Resources boards and the Ministry of Natural Resources of Belarus met in Moscow. The press service of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources reports details.

According to Irina Makanova, director of the Department of State Policy and Regulation in the development of specially protected natural areas of the Russian Ministry of Natural Resources, the primary example of successful interaction between countries in 2023 was the restoration of the only purebred bison population in Russia in Bashkiria.

The results of a veterinary examination of the first batch of bison showed that the adaptation of animals in Bashkiria was 100% complete. Not a single individual became ill, and no one showed negative results. As Bashinform News Agency reported, 9 more individuals will be brought to Bashkiria by the end of November. Activities for breeding bison are being implemented on behalf of the Head of Bashkiria Radiy Khabirov, taking into account the experience of breeding this type of animal in Russia.
