Almost every third Ufa resident plans to spend the New Year holidays at home. These are the data from a survey conducted by the SuperJob service on October 14-16 this year.
Economically active citizens took part in the survey. It turned out that Ufa residents will sleep off during the New Year holidays, communicate with family, and read and watch TV series.
“31% of Ufa residents plan to spend most of the New Year holidays at home. 12% of respondents will go to their dacha or village. 9% of respondents will spend the New Year holidays visiting. 8% are planning trips for the New Year: 5% within Russia and 3% abroad. Popular domestic destinations include St. Petersburg, Moscow, and Kazan, while foreign destinations include Thailand, Egypt, and the UAE. 13% will work during the New Year holidays,” the SuperJob press service reported.
At the same time, Ufa men are more likely than women to plan to stay at home for the New Year holidays: 41% versus 22%. Women are more likely to plan a trip to Russia: 6% versus 4% of men. Respondents under 34 (20%) will work more often than others during the New Year holidays.
As Bashinform News Agency previously reported concerning the Association of Tour Operators of Russia, most Russians do not plan trips for the New Year. Still, those who go are ready to spend a lot.
