Social order for additional education is being introduced in Bashkiria

The government of Bashkiria discussed introducing social procurement into the education system by providing additional education services within the framework of personalized financing. The press service of the government of the Republic reported this.

From March 1, 2023, additional education in Russia will switch to a social order, the main goal of which is competitiveness and improving the quality and accessibility of additional education. The sphere of additional education for children has become one of three new areas of activity for which regions are allowed to form a social order to provide state (municipal) services from 2023.

Personalized financing involves identifying and assigning funds to a child with their subsequent transfer to an educational organization. In the region, 194 additional education organizations implement 4,460 additional general education development programs included in the system of personalized financing of additional education for children. The certificate for additional education is valid until the age of 18. It gives the right to attend any licensed clubs or sections located on the platform of the Navigator of additional education at the expense of the budget. Thanks to a transparent control mechanism, funds will be spent for their intended purpose.

A Road Map has been developed to implement the social order in Bashkiria in 2023; activities are being carried out in all 63 municipalities of the Republic of Bashkortostan. Prime Minister of the Republic’s Government Andrey Nazarov instructed the Ministry of Education and Science to ensure the adoption of relevant regulatory legal acts for implementing social procurement at the municipal level.

Bashinform News Agency reported that a new concept for developing additional education for children until 2030 was approved in Bashkiria.
