Russia introduces fines for imposing goods and services for fee
In Russia, fines are being introduced for the imposition goods and services for a fee. The Federation Council approved the corresponding amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses, senators report on their social media.
Officials will be fined 2-4 thousand rubles, legal entities - 20-40 thousand rubles.
Unreasonable refusal to consider consumer claims related to violation of his rights or evasion of consideration in the manner prescribed by law is punishable by a fine of 15-30 thousand rubles for officials and 100-300 thousand rubles for legal entities.
Presumably, this law is intended to protect consumers when receiving bank loans and car insurance. When purchasing the main product, they must sign an additional contract that is disadvantageous to the client.
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency said borrowers could sue if the bank increases the rate if they refuse the proposed insurance.
