Abkhazia plans to launch direct flights from Sukhum to Ufa
The President of Abkhazia is confident that after the opening of the Sukhumi airport, the number of tourists from Bashkortostan wishing to visit the republic will increase significantly.
“I am sure of this, and we are interested in opening our airport as soon as possible. I hope that immediately after its opening, there will be flights directly connecting Ufa and Sukhumi,” said Aslan Bzhania, answering a question from the Bashinform News Agency.
Earlier, the media reported that Sukhum Airport will receive its first flight by the end of 2024 after renovation, the tender won by a Russian company.
