Those interested in self-employment or owning business increased by 8.6% in Bashkiria

In January-September, about 14 thousand people in Bashkiria were consulted on entrepreneurial initiative programs - 8.6% more than last year's nine months. In September 2023, 1,340 republican residents applied to employment services for services. They were mainly interested in becoming self-employed, while 320 people sought advice on starting their own business.

As noted by the Ministry of Labor of the Republic, the interest of residents in opening their businesses has increased due to increased payments from 200 thousand to 350 thousand rubles. In addition, if a person needs training to get started, he can choose a direction worth up to 30 30,000 rubles. After learning the basics of entrepreneurship, the most successful projects can receive one-time financial assistance of 153.5 thousand rubles for launch. In September, more than 40 people entered a social contract to open or develop a business.

Last year, over 4 thousand unemployed citizens of the republic participated in this program, and 878 of them could open their businesses. In 2023, almost 26 million rubles were allocated to support citizens’ entrepreneurial initiatives under this program.
