“Dairy Country” was recognized as the best city festival, according to the popular vote results, as part of the Aksakov Prize. 37% of voting residents of the region chose “Dairy Country” out of seven nominees.
Remember that the family festival “Dairy Country” has been held in Ufa since 2011. This year, the event took place on September 2 on the embankment of the Belaya River near the Friendship Monument.
62 thousand people attended the festival. The guests purchased 52 tons of whole milk products and kumys, more than 4 tons of butter, 3.3 tons of cheese, 3 tons of ice cream, and 18 thousand cans of condensed milk.
Bashkortostan is one of the most dairy regions in Russia. The republic produces more than 1.5 million tons of milk annually, about 5% of the total Russian volume.
Today, the republic's dairy industry is undergoing industrialization. Since 2018, 18 large investment projects in dairy farming have been implemented in the republic. In 2023, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic recalled that six more projects will be completed.
