219 historical and cultural examinations of land plots were carried out over six months in Bashkiria

The government of Bashkiria discussed the organization of historical and cultural examinations of land plots. According to the BashCultHeritage, the department received more than 1 thousand requests last year and issued 283 conclusions. In the first half of 2023, almost 700 requests were received, and 219 responses were prepared.

In general, over the past five years, 197 previously unknown objects of archaeological heritage have been taken under protection. As Bashinform News Agency reported, the republic ranks 10th in the country and 3rd in the Volga Federal District regarding the number of monuments included in the state register.

Prime Minister Andrey Nazarov instructed municipal administrations to ensure strict compliance with the law and conduct a state examination before construction, reclamation, or economic work.

Recently, the BashCultHeritage has given protective status to several more archeological monuments of federal significance - five burial mounds discovered in the Trans-Urals and Ilishevsky region.
