Salavat Yulaev Monument reconstruction will begin after 450th Ufa anniversary celebration

Any story can be distorted if desired, Radiy Khabirov said at a meeting with activists of the civil society institute. He commented on the situation related to the reconstruction of the monument to the national hero of Bashkortostan Salavat Yulaev, Bashinform News Agency reports.

“We will not touch the monument to Salavat Yulaev until the anniversary events dedicated to the 450th anniversary of Ufa are held. We will begin all work only after all examinations have been carried out, and restoration of the monument will begin no earlier than 2024. We will also take measures to improve the foundation. The assumption that repairing a monument is a way to remove it is blasphemy,” said Radiy Khabirov.
