Dmitry Grigoriev, an endocrinologist at Ufa Clinical Hospital No. 8, was awarded the Luka Krymsky medal for his work in Krasny Liman of the Donetsk People's Republic. The Republic Management Center reported this concerning the administration of the Ordzhonikidze capital district.
It is noted that the team of doctors in the region, which included Dmitry Grigoriev, provided the necessary assistance to residents and military personnel. As the specialist said, the team had a therapist, a cardiologist, two surgeons, and a resuscitator in addition to him.
“We were based in the regional traumatology department. We were the first brigade to enter the liberated city. We set up a hospital and a surgical and therapeutic department, opened an intensive care unit, moved beds, and cleaned the premises. The situation was quite difficult; there was no water, and the generator was running. They assisted around the clock. I haven’t heard such open gratitude from patients for a long time - when we left, many people cried,” the doctor shared.
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that surgeons in Ufa operated on an SMO participant, removing a grenade fragment from the carotid artery.
