Russia began issuing preferential IT mortgages with simplified conditions

According to the decree of the Russian government, simplified conditions for preferential mortgages for some employees of IT companies began to operate on September 9, the Ministry of Digital Development of the Russian Federation reported.

Let us remind you that the innovation applies only to young professionals under 36 - for them, the minimum salary requirement has been abolished. For specialists aged 37-50 years, the salary qualification remains. The required salary for Moscow residents remains at 150 thousand rubles per month for residents of cities with a population of over a million - at least 120 thousand rubles. In other cities and towns - 70 thousand rubles a month.

This is not the first time IT mortgage terms have been adjusted. At the beginning of 2023, the age of potential borrowers was increased to 50 years, although initially, preferential mortgages were supposed to be issued for IT specialists 22-35 years old. After this, the number of loans issued in the industry doubled.

Other parameters remained the same: the rate is 5% per annum, and the maximum size of a state-subsidized loan for residents of million-plus cities is 18 million rubles. For others - 9 million rubles, and the down payment is from 15%.

Since the program's launch in March 2022, over 23 thousand people have received IT mortgages for over 200 billion rubles. By the end of 2023, at least 30 thousand specialists will receive preferential IT mortgages.

As Bashinform News Agency reported, Bashkir IT specialists were issued mortgage loans worth over 2 billion rubles under this program.
