Ufa "House of Soviets" is included in cultural heritage sites register

The famous Ufa “House of Soviets” on Karl Marx Street, 12, is included in the unified state register of historical and cultural monuments of the peoples of Russia as an object of cultural heritage of regional significance. The corresponding order was published on the legal information portal.

The state register includes the object: “Building of the Ufa Aviation Institute, monument of 1952-1962, 1980s.”

The document also approves the boundaries and subject of protection of an object of cultural significance, as well as the regime for using its territory.

The area of the building is 4.1 thousand square meters. m. Within its boundaries, it is prohibited, particularly the construction of new facilities, excavation, or other types of work, except those aimed at preserving the building, laying engineering infrastructure, clogging the territory, or destroying the building.

Construction of the building began in 1952. The architects were the brothers Bary and Samigulla Kalimullin. Today, this building houses one of the main buildings of the United Ufa University of Science and Technology (formerly Ufa State Aviation Technical University).
