

Harvesting is almost complete in 14 republic districts, where more than 70% of the area has been harvested; in another 27 districts, more than half of the sown area has been harvested. Grain and leguminous crops have been mown on 73% of the site, and over 1 million 240 thousand hectares have been threshed. The gross harvest was approximately 2.5 million tons. Another about 1 million tons of grain remains to be harvested. Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkiria - Minister of Agriculture Ilshat Fazrakhmanov spoke about this at an operational government meeting.
He noted that the average yield this year is 1.96 tons per hectare. Simultaneously with harvesting, farmers sow fields with winter crops. 240 thousand hectares have already been planted. Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that winter crop plantings will be doubled.
In addition, harvesting of oilseeds began in 36 districts of Bashkiria. Agrarians of Alsheevsky, Davlekanovsky, and Kushnarenkovsky districts began harvesting sugar beets. As of September 1, 911 hectares have been gathered, and 12 thousand tons of root crops have been dug up, with an average yield of 21.5 tons per hectare.
