The stand of Bashkiria presents the advanced developments of universities and scientific institutions of the region. Among them are biomedical products, innovative results in the petrochemical profile, unmanned aerial vehicles, and more. The business program of the forum's second day was devoted to developing scientific and educational centers. The forum continued with a strategic session to discuss new approaches to assessing their performance.
During the event, the Russian Ministry of Education and Science and the Russian Center for Scientific Information presented their proposals for improving the methodology for assessing the activities of the REC. Also, it submitted for consideration an updated list of indicators characterizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the world-class centers. Within the framework of the new approach, in addition to the integral indicators of REC participants, indicators that directly affect the development of the region, such as the leading indicators of postgraduate studies, youth employment in the research and development sector, and the volume of technologies received, will be subject to assessment. The new methodology also plans to take into account the level of cooperation between the participants of the center in the implementation of technological projects of the REC, the promotion of centers within the region among the population, the support of the REC through regional support measures (note that Bashkiria ranks 3rd in the rating of constituent entities of the Russian Federation in terms of measures to support young scientists).
At a meeting of the State Council Commission in the area of "Science", the possibility of improving the indicators of the National Rating of Scientific and Technological Development of the Subjects of the Russian Federation for 2023 was discussed. The meeting also discussed the issue of training personnel at universities and considered the best practices of subjects in this area. Bashkortostan entered the Top 10 regions in the field of engineering, along with Moscow, St. Petersburg, Tatarstan, Rostov, Sverdlovsk, Novosibirsk and Tomsk regions, Krasnoyarsk Territory, and Samara. According to experts, these subjects are the centers of engineering training in the country and, in terms of exchanging experience and practices, the attention of other issues should be riveted to them.
The stand of Bashkortostan will work all the days of the forum until August 25th. Bashinform News Agency previously spoke about the events of the first day of this event.
