Andrey Nazarov held meeting on schools readiness for new academic year start

The Prime Minister of the Government of Bashkortostan, Andrey Nazarov, met with the heads of administrations of municipal and city districts on the readiness of schools for the start of the new academic year.

Opening the meeting, Andrey Nazarov stressed that the readiness of schools for the new academic year is the focus of constant control of the federal authorities and the republic's government.

The Republican Minister of Education and Science, Aibulat Khazhin, spoke about the readiness of schools for the start of the new academic year. He noted that the solemn assembly dedicated to the Day of Knowledge will be held on September 1 in all Republic schools.

According to him, work on organizing hot meals for schoolchildren will be continued in the republic in the new academic year. All primary school students will be provided with free hot meals and social support measures for preferential categories of students will also be maintained.

To organize free hot meals for privileged categories of students, 3.6 billion rubles were allocated in 2023, including 1.6 billion rubles from the budget of the Republic of Belarus.

As of August 21, 2023, 100% of general educational institutions submitted for readiness assessment were recognized as ready for the start of the academic year.

The Ministry constantly monitors legislation implementation in the anti-terrorist protection of educational facilities of the republic.

Preventive work in road safety is carried out in close cooperation with the State Inspectorate For Traffic Security.

As of June 1, 2023, 52,253 students are covered by transportation to and from the place of study with 1,522 school buses. Additional buses are also purchased at the expense of the republic's budget. So, in 2023, the Ministry of Education of the region purchased 18 school buses at the cost of the regional budget. In addition, in 2023, according to the order of the Russian government, 49 new school buses were allocated to the republic.

Active work is underway in the republic to provide schools with textbooks that meet the updated standards. All schools of the republic are supplied with books in all subjects.

An essential change in the organization of the educational process from September 1 will be the introduction of labor education for students at school and their involvement in work, taking into account age characteristics without parental consent. The President of the Russian Federation signed the corresponding law on August 4. In the law, education is supplemented by the formation of diligence among students and a responsible attitude to work and its results.

The involvement of schoolchildren in work will affect both putting things in order and cleanliness at school, working on the school site, decorating the school, and working in school museums, theaters, and libraries.

Another innovation of the upcoming academic year will be the return of the silver medal.

Following the meeting, Andrey Nazarov instructed the administrations of municipal and city districts to strictly ensure the safety of educational organizations in case of emergencies and fires, compliance with sanitary norms and rules, and the protection of schools from threats of a criminal nature.
