A monument of industrial brick architecture of pre-revolutionary Russia - the complex of the former Verkhotorsk copper smelter, located in Bashkiria in the village of Verkhotor, will become a new point of attraction for tourists. Head of the Republic Radiy Khabirov wrote about this on his Telegram channel.
The Head of the Region added that between the villages of Verkhotor and Voskresenskoye in the neighboring Meleuzovsky district, where the old copper smelter is located. The road between them will be paved this year.
Radiy Khabirov, during a conversation with residents, noted that work on the Verkhotor - Theater of Times Project would begin next year.
The organization of the territory around the copper smelter will help to unlock the tourism potential of the village of Verkhotor. The Bashinform News Agency reported that a visitor center will appear on the square. An open extension of the visitor center - a canopy that protects from rain and creates shade - will become a venue for fairs or educational events.
