New COVID-19 strain rapid spread recorded by World Health Organization
The World Health Organization has announced the rapid worldwide spread of a new variant of the EG.5 omicron strain of COVID-19. According to TASS, the new strain was transferred from the category of variants under observation to those of interest.
According to WHO experts, the risk that the new strain poses to the population at the global level is now regarded as low. It is clarified that this is consistent with the risk posed by other current circulating options.
Recall that Bashinform News Agency wrote that the status of a COVID observatory was removed from the maternity hospital of the Demsky district of Ufa.
