Bashkiria was visited by 2.1 million tourists in 2022

Last year our republic was visited by 2.1 million tourists. Thus, Bashkiria was in 3rd place in terms of tourist flow in the Volga Federal District and 13th among the regions of Russia. Bashkir Statistical Agency reported the data.

Experts also note that domestic tourism is in great demand. Also, popular destinations in Russia through travel agencies among the residents of Bashkortostan were Tatarstan, the Krasnodar Territory, and the cities of St. Petersburg and Moscow.

At the end of 2022, Turkey remains the most popular destination to other countries through travel agencies among the republic's residents. Tours to the United Arab Emirates and Abkhazia have become 2.2 times more popular compared to 2021.
