Russian Government will improve apartment building overhauling procedure

The Russian government is improving the procedure for overhauling apartment buildings. As the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers explained, more and more homeowners are striving to organize the overhaul of their houses themselves, choose contractors, and control the progress of all activities and spending funds. At the same time, the fund for the work is formed on a particular account.

On behalf of the president, the government has prepared a bill to improve the procedure for an overhaul of apartment buildings. This will help meet these works' safety and quality requirements.

Supervisory authorities will keep a register of minutes of meetings of owners who made decisions, specialists - to carry out construction control. The act on the results of control will be placed in the state information system of housing and communal services.

“These legislative changes will, first of all, ensure the transparency of the spending of funds generated on special accounts, improve the quality of the overhaul of common property and guarantee the protection of the interests of the owners of apartments in such houses,” Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin emphasized.
