Deputy Minister of Education of Russia Anastasia Zyryanova got acquainted with the work of the intelligent video surveillance system at Lyceum No. 21 in Ufa. It was developed on the initiative of the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, to create a safe environment on the territory of educational institutions.
“The 24-hour video surveillance system recognizes potentially dangerous school visitors, including students, by faces, biometric data, and physiognomy, and automatically detects firearms in human hands. Information about this is sent to law enforcement agencies and the school administration within seconds. In the new academic year, such equipment will appear in several more republic schools,” Aibulat Khazhin explained.
According to the regional Ministry of Education, the system was tested during the school year. For this purpose, school specialists have received appropriate training.
Earlier, the work of the intelligent video surveillance system was personally controlled by the Head of the Republic, Bashinform News Agency wrote. He noted the importance of introducing intelligent video surveillance and stressed that it is necessary to equip schools in the region's large cities.
“It is important that the system is already working. It will help in creating a safe perimeter on school grounds. From September 1, we will begin its phased introduction in the republic,” said Radiy Khabirov.
