During a Russian President Vladimir Putin meeting with government members, Minister of Transport Vitaly Savelyev called domestic air transportation a priority regarding the volume of passengers transported and the tasks of developing domestic tourism. This was reported on the official website of the President of Russia.
As an example of Russian airlines' route network expansion in the summer of 2023, Vitaly Savelyev noted that Aeroflot began flying to Mineralnye Vody from Samara, Kazan, Perm, Yekaterinburg, and Ufa. Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that this summer Aeroflot and Rossiya Airlines increased the frequency of flights from Moscow to Ufa to 63 per week instead of the previous 42.
