According to the results of 2022, Bashkiria ranks 2nd in the Volga Federal District regarding birth rate. According to the regional Ministry of Health, 36,213 children were born in the republic last year: 17,607 girls and 18,606 boys. It also managed to reduce infant mortality by 25%. The overall mortality rate also decreased by 26.5%.
Over the past three years, 11 large medical facilities have been built, including 4 infectious diseases hospitals. We put into operation 258 feldsher-obstetric stations (FAPs), outpatient clinics and purchased medical equipment worth more than 17.5 billion rubles. Now there are more than 2,000 FAPs in the region.
Bashinform News Agency wrote that 2025 another 286 FAPs would be modernized in Bashkiria.
