Illegal carriers' responsibilities law, developed in Bashkiria, signed by Vladimir Putin

The Federal Law "On Amendments to the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Offenses" developed by the State Assembly of Bashkiria came into force. The press service of the Republican parliament reported this.

According to the innovations, a more effective measure of influence will be applied to illegal carriers - the detention of the vehicle. Previously, cars that carried passengers without a route map were seized. At the same time, the costs of a tow truck, storage of cars, and their protection burdened the municipalities. Now, another measure will be applied to violators - the detention of the vehicle: it assumes that the costs of moving and storing the detained car until the fine is paid are borne by the violator himself.

In addition, during work on the document, some amendments were made to supplement the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation with new provisions on liability for violation of the martial law regime. The law establishes fines for violating martial law for citizens of up to 1,000 rubles and officials – of up to 2,000 rubles. It also provides for punishment in the form of administrative arrest for up to 30 days. If the violation occurred with the use of vehicles, then their confiscation is provided.
