66 cooperation agreements were signed at X Russia and Belarus Regions Forum

During the plenary session of the X Anniversary Forum of the Regions of Russia and Belarus, the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education, and Culture, Lilia Gumerova, spoke about the results of the work of 9 sections of the forum, which brought together 714 participants.

According to Lilia Gumerova, 66 cooperation agreements were signed within the sections alone (between authorities, educational, scientific, cultural institutions, public organizations, and others). Section meetings were covered by the leading media of the two countries and aroused great interest and resonance, with a lot of positive feedback. The forum participants discussed areas of cooperation in the humanitarian, scientific, and technological spheres and summed up the results of the forums. A strategy for the scientific and technological development of the Union State has been developed, as Bashinform News Agency previously reported, and it will be signed this autumn.

In addition, it is planned to create a genetic database of the two countries, implement the Union State Library project, sign a memorandum on the joint use of intellectual property systems, outline the development vector of the Union State legal system, and more.
