Radiy Khabirov told how they keep memory of those who brought Victory closer

The Head of Bashkiria, Radiy Khabirov, published archival photographs from the Great Patriotic War on his Telegram channel.

“These pictures show our future Heroes, Minigali Shaimuratov and Tagir Kusimov. They were photographed at the beginning of the war before being sent to the front. There is also footage from other years with the soldiers of the legendary 112th Bashkavdivision. All of them are from the National Archives of Bashkortostan,” he wrote.

Radiy Khabirov noted that in Bashkiria, they treat the past with great respect and do everything to preserve the memory of our courageous ancestors, which is especially important now when some countries are rewriting history. Only in the Republican National Archives are there 3 million items of storage. In total, the archival fund of the Republic has 7 million items. This is a huge array of necessary and interesting information.

“Thanks to our residents who share photos, letters, and other documents from different eras for free, and to the archives staff who digitize this wealth. Today is the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow in our country. The day the Great Patriotic War began. We remember everyone who brought Victory closer in battle and the rear, everyone who did not return from the front. Eternal memory to the heroes,” said Radiy Khabirov.
