State secrets technical protection is assigned to Ministry of Digital Development of Bashkiria

By a decree of the Government of the Republic, signed by the Head of the Republic, amendments are made to the Regulations of the Ministry of Digital Development of Public Administration of the Republic. The amendment introduces an addition: “coordination and functional regulation in the field of technical protection of information containing information constituting state and other secrets protected by law, including information about personal data.”

As explained in the Republican Ministry of Digital Transformation, the department has new functions in information security, with which an appropriate structure has been created.

“The Ministry is now endowed with the coordination and functional regulation of the technical protection of information classified as state secrets. Previously, the ministry coordinated information protection in state information systems and controlled the technical protection of data not classified as state secrets. For the effective implementation of new functions, a separate division for the technical protection of state secrets has been created in the ministry,” commented the Minister of Digital Development of Public Administration of the Republic, Gennady Razumikin.
