The Russian government is considering introducing mandatory deductions for organizations using foreign software until the transition to domestic solutions. Half of this amount can be directed to grant support for Russian IT companies. Due to the second part, the collateral for their preferential lending will be formed. This was announced by the Prime Minister of Russia, Mikhail Mishustin, during the conference "Digital Industry of Industrial Russia".
He noted that the President of the country set the task of achieving technological independence from foreign software, for which it is necessary to build a strong IT industry capable of creating high-quality digital solutions for specific functions of manufacturers. Now the industry has taken a confident course toward introducing Russian software. Last year, the demand for certain domestic software products, according to expert estimates, increased 10-12 times. It is expected to grow in the future. Today, more than 22,000 software developers are accredited in Russia. They are actively restructuring their activities, taking into account current realities.
