The inter-university student campus of the Eurasian Scientific and Educational Center will house a pharmaceutical center and a bioengineering center with laboratories for advanced medical technologies, the press service of the government of Bashkiria reports.
The Bioengineering Center will consist of several laboratories: cell technologies, bioengineering and bioprinting, additive technologies, molecular genetics, immunology, micro- and nanoscale methods for studying biomaterials, and a laboratory for mathematical methods in biomedicine. The center will develop import-substituting technologies for producing biological and synthetic medical materials.
The main research areas will be technologies for producing cellular structures and organs, bioprinting, and biocompatible implants. On their basis, the center will develop original Russian technologies for creating new materials for regenerative medicine, traumatology, urology, oncology, and the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that a laboratory for plastic processing would appear in the inter-university student campus at Ufa.
