Lenin Park reconstruction planned in Ufa

The Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, held an “Hour of Public Spaces” meeting at the House of the Republic on May 24.

Before the discussion, the Head of the Region, representatives of the relevant ministries, and the administration of Ufa visited Lenin Park in the Kirovsky district of the capital.

The head of the republic emphasized the special status of the park and instructed to make proposals for the modernization of public space. It should get new functionality and a modern look. During the inspection, Radiy Khabirov pointed out that the pedestrian areas of the park were in poor condition and needed to be updated.

‘Today, we are again discussing Lenin Park. Mistakes are not allowed here. We will certainly consult with the residents because the park has Republican status. He is important to everyone. We made a basic decision that it is necessary to change the tiles and lighting. We will renovate this area. We will not change the structure of the park, its purpose, its goals, and its objectives. And this will probably be the main art,” said Radiy Khabirov.

Further, at the meeting, proposals for improving Lenin Park were considered. For example, they were laying a running track with a unique soft surface around the perimeter, updating lighting, repairing fountains, installing a video surveillance system, and installing small architectural objects.

Also, the Head of the Republic discussed with the meeting participants the progress of the reconstruction of other park areas of the capital of Bashkortostan. Radiy Khabirov stressed the need for strict adherence to all design and survey, construction, and installation work schedules.
