Third communication center for older generation has opened in Bashkiria.

The third communication center for the older generation in Bashkiria has opened in Mezhgorye, the press service of the regional branch of the Social Fund told Bashinform News Agency.

“We were pleasantly surprised by the appeal of the initiative group of residents and pensioners of Mezhgorye, who, having learned about the opening of two such centers in the republic, turned to us themselves. When there is a desire, all means for implementing ideas will be found. Thank you for your active position. It is very nice that you are interested. Take the initiative. This again shows that we are not doing this work in vain,” said Fanil Vakhitov, head of the Social Fund department.

In the Center, older people can improve their financial, legal, and computer literacy, attend needlework classes, and listen to exciting lectures. In addition, they will be able to diversify their leisure time with various games and reading literature, watching their favorite films together, and creative evenings will be held for them.

The stadium next to the Center provides recreational sports activities. The program of activities for older people is developed several months in advance. Moreover, visitors can directly participate in the preparation of this program. So, an offer has already been received to meet with one of the famous poets of Bashkiria.

“The Center will open up new opportunities for self-realization, improving the quality of life, health, and, most importantly, the opportunity to communicate. You have a huge store of knowledge and experience behind you, and you will certainly share them here with each other and the younger generation. We will cooperate. We will improve together,” Irina Petrova, deputy head of the administration of Mezhgorye, expressed confidence.

Recall that Bashkiria is a participant in a pilot project to create communication centers for the older generation in the regional offices of the SFR. As Bashinform News Agency previously reported, the first such Center was opened in December 2022 in the Mishkinsky district and has already become popular among residents. A similar center was launched in Davlekanovo in March 2023.
