The Head of Bashkiria shared a story about sturgeon farming with the readers of his blog. A sturgeon farm operates in Oktyabrsky. For three years, resident Vladimir Grigoriev hatched the idea of raising fish, and in May 2022, with his investment project, he came to the “Entrepreneurial Hour” at the city administration.
“The farm is on a land plot of over 5,000 sq. meters. There are 4 workshops on the farm - an incubation workshop, a fry workshop, a commodity fish workshop, and a wintering workshop, which is rare for fish farms - it allows you to get caviar at any time of the year. Vladimir Grigoriev's farm is the only farm in Bashkortostan that breeds sturgeon fry under the program of environmental compensation measures. Under a state contract with the Ministry of Ecology, the entrepreneur released 65,000 sterlet fry into the Volga last year. The plans for 2023 are to release more than 300,000 fries into the Belaya and Volga,” said Radiy Khabirov.
Under the Family Farm program, the entrepreneur will now organize a farm on the Ik River on the border of the Ermekeyevsky and Tuymazinsky districts. It plans to produce up to 20 tons of commercial sturgeon fish and 150 kg of retail black caviar annually. And in the future - to start processing.
"Good luck! And I remind you that our business sheriffs are ready to tell you about all measures to support entrepreneurs. Their contacts are at the link,” the Head of the Republic said.
