Draft federal law on civil servants age limit extending adopted in first reading by State Duma

The day before, the State Duma approved in the first reading a draft federal law submitted by the State Assembly of Bashkiria on amending Article 251 of the Federal Law “On the State Civil Service of the Russian Federation”. Information about this is presented in the system to ensure the legislative activity of the Russian Federation.

The draft law proposes to supplement the article mentioned above of the law with a norm according to which for a civil servant who has reached the age limit for being in the civil service, the term of civil service, with his consent, can be extended (but not more than until he reaches the age of 70 years) by the official who appointed him to the post upon agreement with the chairman of the legislative body of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation. This opportunity applies to employees who replace the category "heads" of the leading group of civil service positions in the apparatus of the legislative body of a constituent entity of the Russian Federation. Until June 16, 2023, amendments to this bill may be submitted.

Earlier, Bashinform News Agency reported that the Parliament of Bashkiria proposed to exempt NGOs’ charitable assistance from taxes.
