Russian Government has expanded support for disabled people's organizations

According to the decree of the government of the Russian Federation, disabled people's organizations as suppliers received several advantages in public procurement - the list of goods works and services provided by them has been expanded for them.

The list has been updated considering the proposals of public associations of the disabled and has almost doubled - from 58 to 107 items.

Among the new items: are various tools, wooden cutlery, kitchen utensils, decorative wood products, household appliances, and services in medicine, translation, publishing, and printing.

According to the current legislation, if an organization of disabled people wins a tender for a state order, then a contract for purchasing its goods and services included in this list is concluded at a price 15% higher than that offered by the organization itself.

The decision to expand such a list aims to support and develop organizations that massively provide jobs for people with disabilities. This means they improve the financial situation of such citizens and contribute to their social adaptation and integration into society, the press service of the Cabinet notes.
