“A sacred holiday for every Russian”: Andrey Nazarov on Victory Day

The Prime Minister of Bashkiria, Andrey Nazarov, congratulated the republic’s inhabitants on the 78th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War on his social media.

“Dear veterans, countrymen, volunteers! This sacred holiday for every Russian is a reminder that we are the heirs of the winners, the generation that was able to crush Nazism. We bow before the courage of our veterans. They showed an immortal example of fortitude and devotion to the Motherland. They proved that nothing is impossible for people united to protect their homeland. Traditionally, the republic's inhabitants immediately stood up to defend the borders of Russia. Such is the nature of the people inhabiting the friendly Bashkortostan. Our countrymen significantly contributed to the Victory with their labor, heroism, and dedication. The capital of Bashkortostan bears the proud title of the City of Labor Valor. More than 60 enterprises were evacuated here at the beginning of the war. Instead of engines for combines, factories produced engines for combat aircraft, and teenagers worked equally with adults. Every fourth engine was refueled with fuel produced at Ufa refineries,” Andrey Nazarov wrote.

He stressed that today, as in those difficult years, fighters from Bashkiria defend Russia's security on the fields of a special military operation, fighting for the future of the Motherland and demonstrating examples of true patriotism.

“The Republic will continue to actively support the participants of the SVO and their families, to help the families of the fallen servicemen comprehensively. On behalf of the Head of Bashkortostan, Radiy Khabirov, relevant support centers have been opened. Thanks to the help of the republic’s residents, our soldiers feel the warmth of their homes, even several thousand kilometers from their homeland. A speedy recovery to the wounded soldiers and a deep bow to the medical staff of military hospitals. We are part of a single, multinational country, great Russia. And today, as in the years of the Great Patriotic War, devotion to the Motherland remains an indestructible value and a guarantee of Russia's security. Happy holiday, friends!
