The list of winners of the first competition for non-profit organizations involved in developing civil society institutions and implementing socially significant projects has been approved. It included 55 organizations of the republic. A total of 212 projects were submitted for the competition.
One of the objectives of the First Competition for Grants of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan was to attract organizations that had yet to receive grant support and direct state support measures to small areas. Of the 55 winning projects, the share of applications from municipalities, except for the city of Ufa, is 60%. The number of unique organizations that, for the first time, became winners in the Grants Fund of the Head of the Republic competitions amounted to 47 out of 55.
“The potential of good ideas and the great desire of the non-profit sector to help the residents of our republic are huge. That is why the Foundation initiated a competition in the format of mini-grants and provided many opportunities to receive grant support for the first time, especially for organizations from municipalities. We expect active, targeted work from the winners to benefit their target groups and territories since the short-term projects are designed for no more than 6 months. The competition exceeded our expectations, and I believe this practice should be continued in 2024. I thank the Presidential Grants Fund, the republic's leadership, and members of the competition commission for supporting our initiative,” said Roman Nizamutdinov, General Director of the Grants Fund of the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan.
The winning projects cover the most relevant areas and solve pressing social problems. The most popular areas of the competition were: "Culture and Art" (13 projects); “Support for the Family, motherhood, fatherhood and Childhood” (9 projects); "Science, education and Enlightenment" (8 projects).
We also remind you that applications for the competition of grants from the Head of the Republic of Bashkortostan for the preservation and development of the state languages and languages of the peoples of the Republic of Bashkortostan in 2023 continue until 5 pm on May 10 local time.
