Rescue dog Thorin received Shaggy Oscar
Zelenogradsk hosted the awarding ceremony for the international competition winner "My Affectionate and necessary animal." The jury chose the only Border-collie rescue dog in Bashkiria, Torin, as the winner in the primary nomination of the “Shaggy Oscar” among our more minor brothers. The award was presented to a freelance cynologist of the Republican State Committee for Emergency Situations emergency rescue service, Nadezhda Otvesova, who, with her pet, especially went to the ceremony from Ufa.
As Bashinform News Agency wrote earlier, on March 20, the voting of Internet users for the heroes of the fourth season of the first international award, "My Affectionate and necessary animal," ended. As a result of which, Thorin scored 15,823 votes.
The rescue dog is also known for participating in the earthquake’s aftermath in Turkey. Thanks to her, two living people were found under the rubble.
