

A student of the Republican Engineering Lyceum-Boarding School of Ufa Vadim Kharisov joined the Russian team that will perform at the 57th International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad for schoolchildren, which will be held from May 1 to May 6, 2023, in Astana.
In total, the team of our country included 10 people. All students are winners of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren in chemistry, who won the maximum points in their classes. In addition to a high school student from Ufa, schoolchildren from the Samara region, Tatarstan, Mordovia, St. Petersburg, the Moscow region, and Moscow also took their place in the team, the press service of the Andrey Melnichenko Charitable Foundation, which is one of the organizers of the Olympiad, told the Bashinform News Agency. The organizing committee also included the Faculty of Chemistry of Moscow State University.
Young chemists from 22 countries confirmed their participation: in addition to the traditionally participating teams of Austria, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Bulgaria, Hungary, Israel, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Mongolia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Croatia, and other countries, for the first time, the Brazilian team comes to participate in the Olympiad.
